its hard to point out certain things to update anyone on as far as dylan is concerned. she is a kid now and can do everything. the other day she had a real phone conversation with my mom, it was so strange to hear her talking on the phone, look in the rearview mirror and see her sitting in her carseat with a cell phone to her face.

I had so much fun this weekend, it was a blur. dylan had a good time trick or treating. she was scared half the time and extatic the other. there are a lot more friends in costume pics but i could only post this many in a single blog. Ill save the otherrs for later.

oh and we hung out with ben and hanna on thursday, so much fun. ben puked in the street outside the sandy hut, it was a good night.

Ive been looking through old pics to post up since I still don't have my camera. I came across these beauts from Havasupai and I remembered that there was a big flood there last summer and the place isn't the same anymore, you can read about it on their website if you want to. Either way you should still go check this place out, especially all you Arizonans, this means you too Yo, instead of reliving your last vacations over and over go check this out! Its one of the most majestic places ive ever seen. there is so much to do and see in this canyon besides the waterfalls too.

So last night all I could think about was writing poetry about all the shit that I've been thinking about the last few days. Its so weird because Ive never been interested in poetry or writing, or even telling stories about my life or thoughts, but I couldnt go to sleep, I had to write. I ended up just writing down the topics so I wouldn't forget and then I just thought for hours about my life and stuff and how I should write it down. It'll probably never happen, and Im not writing this here so someone can say "just write it on here" or something and then I would be like"aw shucks, really, OK."

not because I wouldn't want anyone to read it, because I would want people to read it, but because i couldnt write it on the computer, it would have to be pen and paper.

jeez that was weird...

anyway, Dylan is getting super into photography, she titled this one Its a bit cold out, new shirt on? Its from her latest series consisting entirely of self portraits done at arms reach.

alright I'm growing my beard out. This is my vacation beard. It is about a month long. Im going to grow it out until its as long as rynn's.

the longest vacation

Im just wrapping up the longest vacation I've ever had, almost a month without working, I went to greece, Las Vegas, Flagstaff and Phoenix. Im back now, Left my camera in Arizona so Im waiting for that to be mailed here for some vegas/Zona pics. here is a nice one froom a cafe in the national garden in Athens. A nice relaxing coffee break.

NEW WHIP again

Got a new whip! 1995 civic ex sedan 5spd 143k. Mint! so happy with it, it is so nice, i feel like i got a new car, it has every option including a 6 disk changer in the trunk, haha. Seeing as how the cd changer is in the trunk i will probably be listening to the same 6 cd's forever. Here is my question to whoever reads this, what 6 cd's should i have in there? I expect a list or two from each of you in the form of a comment. Keep in mind i will need tunes for all occasions so a variety is important, also i actually have two cassettes that hold 6 cd's each so 12 tottal. holla!

alrighty where do i start this one?
well i fell off my motorcycle making a left turn onto Broadway on my way to work this morning, i don't really know how it happened, it was so quick, one minute i'm turning, he next i'm rolling in the street and watching my moto spin around, I jumped up picked up the bike and pushed it onto the sidewalk. Just as im asking myself "what the hell just happened?" a lady pulls up and asks if I've got a cell phone, i say yes and then she says "you are probably not as good as you think you are." I say, "thanks I appreciate your insight" and she drives off, what a bitchy thing to say right? anyway pretty crazy, I was wearing a leather jacket and gloves a full face helmet and some levi's. this is my only wound, s scraped up knee. I managed to borrow a screw driver and fix what was bent enough to get to work only 15min late! the bike is fine and so am I. nice knee! The gas pumper guy that I borrowed the screwdriver from said "I ain't never seen nobody jump up THAT fast!"
umm this was last night, Angie is in town so we had some drinks, interesting crew there were about 10 of us, all from AZ.
monday or teusday? we got some pizza, awesome deal over at rovente, 18 inch ceese for 7.99.
thats it for now, off to greece in two days, so excite!

best corner in the country

so i,got a sweet new camera, i was out front skating and thought id show everyone how we do it on 16th and ash.

this is the roundabout/hip to ledge spot, lots of good tricks have gone down here such as 50-50 stalls and switch tail drops. now that im thinking of it i should get some action shots of this stuff to really give you an idea. this was built last summer and survived the winter snow here, it is in need of a touch up that is coming soon.

here is the rope swing. this was our first fun addition to our front yard a.k.a the street. its great for doing pull-ups, stretching out, swinging and best of all its a good post bar ice breaker, and kids love it too. Directly below the swing is our latest addition to the skatepark, a 15ft peice of angle iron liquid nailed to the curb, soooo much fun. I was just out there and travis's friend from boston already did probably the best trick thatll ever go down on it. long 5-0 to switch crooks like it aint no thang. fun.
anyway i have a new camera so expect more pics to come, plus this month im going to greece and las vegas and flagstaff and phoenix so i should have lots of new stuff to share.

this was johns birthday at about 4am, wounds from the day swelbow fatlip and handhole, i wont go into all the details but you can imagine how much fun that day was.
moving to a different campsite, johnny and perro.
an ex-coworkers "pool" party, travis and HayHay wading as the ex-coworker dives on in, the party was actually pretty lame, or maybe it was just me.
2 weeks until vacation and i cannot wait! Greece, Vegas, Flagstaff, Phoenix here i come.

Danis bike, her old wheels and seat were stolen so she got some new shit and i hooked it up for her, new seat, bar tape, pedals etc. she is trying it out fixed now too, she fell twice in front of my place trying to do tricks already. the bike looks really good in person, it will definatley be stolen soon.

biker-stache

I dont know if ive mentioned this but i got the hawk back on the road and it is a blast. I got 1500 from insurance and it took 250 dollars and about 45 minutes from Austin and I to get it rolling again. its thrilling, it makes me really want to get a purely track bike and start going to the race track. no cars, no lights or stop signs, fun, I want to drag a knee. the feeling of leaning over on a motorcycle in turns is awesome, you cant get it anywhere else. you can get a tiny little taste on a bike but its not even close.

its bad though because im getting more comfortable every day and i want to take turns faster and faster but i know it is a bad idea on the street, enough about that though...
dylan is funny, i was doing the dishes facing away from her while she was eating. i dont know how long she was holding this onion there but she was just waiting for me to turn around and see, when i did we both cracked up. This is a cool thing about daycare, she learns things that you dont show her, I love being suprised by cool stuff that she does.
